USA: The Samsung Hercules is T-Mobile's version of the Galaxy S II

The Samsung Hercules, an Android powered smartphone that really encompasses it's name, was first reported to be heading for Telus in Canada, is apparently T-Mobile's version of the most anticipated Android handset, the Samsung Galaxy S II. We are not yet sure if T-Mobile will eventually name the smartphone as the Hercules, but this phone really is a larger version of the Galaxy S II since it sports a huge 4.5" display.

TmoNews was able to get photos of the device, showing of a curved-edges designed Galaxy S II (Hercules) and if you notice, the bottom part of the screen seems to be wider than at the top part of it. Sammy Hub notes that most (if not all US variants of the SGS II) will be featuring different designs. If you have also heard the Samsung Epic 4G II for Sprint and if it holds water (the leaks and rumors) then I believe the 4 major carriers in the US, will again have different kinds (in terms of design) of the Galaxy S II, just like the original Galaxy S.

The Hercules is said to be sporting the usual SGS II innards, but a different 1.2GHz Qualcomm (not the Samsung Exynos) dual-core processor,  42Mbps HSPA connectivity, a 4.5" touchscreen display, a 5MP rear facing camera, and an NFC chip
