USA: Sony S2 tablet is coming to the US via AT&T with 4G connectivity

Sony debuted their two incredibly well designed tablets, the S1 and the S2, to the press in New York yesterday. Also, shockingly, AT&T announced that one of it, specifically the S2, will be offered by the carrier. The S2 tablet from Sony is very different from the S1 because the S2 is a clamshell and is a tablet (see photo below). Both of them runs on Android Honeycomb.

The S2 sports two 5.5" touchscreen displays each of which will be boasting a 1024x480 screen resolutions. It also sports a dual-core processor, WiFi, and 4G connectivity (HSPA+).
“With its unprecedented, completely portable form factor, the Sony Tablet S2 offers tablet enthusiasts a convenient and unique entertainment experience. Users will be treated to exceptional graphics and the touch-screen capabilities will enable a fast and efficient website experience,” declared David Haight, vice president of business development, AT&T emerging devices.

With regards to the pricing and the exact date when the tablet will be launched by AT&T we still do not have any information about it. So we will just have to wait when AT&T or Sony will officially launch both or the S2 tablets in the US market.
