The next iteration of Verizon's popular Droid branded smartphones, the Droid 3 by Motorola, is said to be priced at $199 with a 2-year contract with Verizon. You can also get the smartphone without contract and Verizon will be asking you $459. The handset is also touted to be available in July 14th.
The phone, Droid 3, went live on Verizon's DroiDoes website and you can view what the improvements are expected from the Motorola Droid 3.
