Skype 5.5 for Windows now available for download

Skype have released version 5.5 for Windows! I just updated my Skype to 5.5 and it still says Beta, anyway the new version of Skype for Windows brings in a lot of new features that was brought about by user feedback. Skype says that it is recommended you update your Skype now if you are running on Windows.

This version of the Beta application for Windows computers brings in a deeper Facebook integration. I was thinking that this would now allow video calling to Facebook contacts in my Skype but it can't. Anyway, that deeper Facebook integration they are saying is an integration that would allow you to not leave Skype if you need to do something on your Facebook.
"The Skype 5.5 for Windows update comes with a deeper Facebook integration. Without having to leave Skype, you can check out when your Facebook friends are online and instant message with them from the new Facebook Contacts Tab (located in between the Skype and Recent Contacts tabs). You can also view and update your Facebook status and even view comments or 'like' posts from your Facebook Wall, directly from Skype Home." - Skype

Skype also improved the controls of the video calling and group video calls on Windows, improved video call reliability, and they have also made some design changes to "improve your overall Skype experience."

You can download Skype 5.5 for Windows here.
