Usually, whenever I want to check what are the new features on the world's largest social networking site, I go to their blog. Facebook is actually very silent these days. No new features and whatnots, at least on their blog. Anyway, there are actually two features that Facebook have silently added to their site, one is the Hide All Activity option and the other that I have found out myself is the, what I call, auto tagging feature. I'll be talking about the feature that I found out myself.
That is autotagging ladies and gentlemen. You might have already noticed it whenever you type in something on comments or when you update your status. You do not have to put an @ sign before a name to tag people with this new feature you only need to capitalize the first letter of a person you want to tag on your comments or on your status. So that's it for the first feature. The second one is much more interesting and I believe is what most of you, including me, wanted a long time ago.
Presenting, the Hide All Activity option. Yup! it works like the Mark all and then delete thingy. I know that some of you wants to get rid of "recent activity" on your wall right? And you also know that it is annoying that, before, you need to click on the "x" button above it and then remove the activity. Today with this feature you can hide all comment, likes, added new friend, and whatnot activities from your wall. I have removed 4 kinds of activities (see photo below).
If you decide on putting some of them back on your wall like your comment activity for example you can do that by going to your wall (profile), scroll to the very bottom of your wall, click on "edit options" and the box you see in the photo above will pop out.
Apparently, Facebook is doing a really good job in introducing new features to improve the user experience of the world's largest networking site. Personally, I find these features important and helpful, evidently. So, try out these new features for yourself!
