HP will be holding their Elevate 2011 event when and where they will be introducing or launching the HP Slate 500. Announced last year, the HP Slate 500 is a full featured 8.9" tablet that runs on the Windows platform. The tablet is targeted for professionals that do not always work behind a desk. On April 8, we will be seeing this tablet land on Philippine soil.

HP Slate 500 specs:

  • Windows 7 Professional 32-bit operating system
  • 8.9" WSVGA touch screen display
  • 1.86GHz Intel Atom processor
  • 2GB of RAM
  • Up to 64GB of internal storage (SSD)
  • Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 500
  • Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator
  • USB 2.0 Port (1)
  • Headphone/mic jack
  • 3MP rear facing camera
  • VGA front facing camera

Since the device is going to be launched on the said event, we still do not have the price details yet but the HP Slate 500 is selling in the US for $799 so you might want to keep that price in your mind until we get the official local market pricing of the tablet.
