Google pulled the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Samsung Galaxy S


The Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for the Samsung Galaxy S was already released in some European countries but it seems there's a problem. Google stopped the sending out the updates since they have found something wrong after they have released the update.

Vodafone, clearly states that it ain't their fault. So, right now, the roll out is stopped. Will give you an update when Google resumes the release of Gingerbread to Galaxy S phones.
