What's new with IE9 Release Candidate?

By now you probably know that the Internet Explorer 9 Release Candidate is already available for download. But what really is in the Release Candidate of IE9? Head on over the break and we'll talk about it.

Like all other browser updates two of the most important thing that needs to be worked on are the security of the browser and performance improvements. The IE9 did not get away with it since the Beta version that I was using was laggy specially when a lot of tabs are opened.

I've updated my IE9 Beta to the RC version and found that the browser may still have laggyness in it but it's quite improved compared to the Beta version. So putting that aside let us talk more about the new version's added features.

One of the most noticeable new features of the IE9 RC version is that it can now show the tabs on a dedicated toolbar.

That would then allow you to have more space for your tabs. How to put your tabs on a dedicated toolbar is easy. Right Click on a space right beside the address bar and click "show tabs on a separate row" and that's it.

IE's blog have said that the new version of the browser uses a lot less memory compared to the beta version. Anyway, you can always download the RC version of the browser and try to see if it really did improve. For me, it did not quite caught my expectation. Good that they have included that separate tabs row feature but I was expecting the laggyness of the browser to be gone. When I installed and used it seems like it is still there. I will be using the browser tomorrow and I will be updating this post when I see anything that is new.
