MetroPCS' first LTE smartphone gets photoed - Samsung SCH-R910

America's 5th largest network carrier, MetroPCS, with 8.1 million subscriber has an LTE network. The question now is, what phone is going to land over their store shelves that supports the LTE network? Well, BGR got tipped with a photo of a Samsung LTE handset with a codename, SCH-R910, which is set to be the carrier's first LTE handset.

The networ, aside from the LTE network, supports CDMA, amazingly, the Samsung SCH-R910 supports both networks. It runs on Android 2.2 Froyo with Samsung's TouchWiz UI overlay, a 1 GHz Hummingbird processor, 5 MP rear facing camera, microUSB port. The smartphone's specs spells like a Samsung Galaxy S but until we get official word from either MetroPCS or Samsung then I will be categorizing this handset under the Samsung Galaxy S. So far that is all we have right now. Expect this phone to land over at MetroPCS in Q1 of this year. BGR is estimating it's price, somewhere in between $329 - $399 that's without a contract. So stay tuned for more updates on this device.
