[Local] Samsung drops price on selected phones

For those who wanted to have a phone but is wanting them to be a bit lower than how much they are priced then this is the day you are waiting for. PinoyTechBlog got word from Samsung Philippines that they have dropped the prices of some of their handsets currently available in the Philippine market.

So we'll be taking them one by one alright?

First stop, is the Samsung Champ. It was launched in the Philippines as the most affordable touch screen Samsung phone but they still decided to slash the price off of the device. Previously priced at P4,980 you can now avail of the Samsung Champ for only P4,390. It features a 320 x 240 QVGA resistive touch screen display, a 1.3 MP photo camera, brew-based OS, and FM radio.

Second is the Samsung B7722. Originally priced at P10,980 you can now get it for only P9,190. It is also known as the Samsung Star Duos that features a brew-based OS, dual-sim capability, 3G, WiFi, a 5 MP camera with LED flash. The phone is apparently a touchscreen device.

The Samsung Galaxy 5 joins in the bandwagon. Original price was at P10, 980 and now its down to P9,190. This is an entry-level Android smartphone by Samsung, obviously. It was also launched to give customers a very affordable Android experience.

Then we have the Samsung Corby WiFi. From P6,900 down to P5,890, this is one of the most popular handsets from Samsung in the Philippines. It has a capacitive touch screen display with a brew-base OS with TouchWiz UI over it, a 2 MP camera, and WiFi.

Lastly, is a QWERTY phone, the Samsung Punch. From P5,199 to P4,890, this phone will give QWERTY keyboard lovers a cheaper option than those of the BlackBerry offerings. Unfortunately though, this phone does not give you WiFi capabilities, maybe one of the reasons why its price is on the low side.
