So you asked, with the technology that we have right now, when will smartphones ever get 3D screens? The technology of being able to show 3D images on screens without having to wear fancy glasses are already in the TV industry and market (although, it may not be that perfect it still an astonish achievement). So when will be seeing it on smartphones or tablets?
3D technology is already in laptops and pretty sure it will just be a question of when that technology will be introduced into smartphone screens. LG, during CES 2011, have showcased their prototype of the said technology. 3D images being shown in a screen without glasses.
According to Endgadget's report the screen does have 3D stuff going on but since this is still LG's prototype it is still not that perfect though.
Regardless, we are bound to get 3D love into our smartphones very soon.
