Samsung Bada 2.0 to get a new revamped UI

Samsung's very own mobile operating system, Samsung Bada, have turned one year old. But that is not what this news is all about, it's about Samsung's plan for the OS in 2011. The company is set to release and give the OS a revamping that I believe it needs. Bada 2.0 will be available for 2011 and with Bada 1.2 on Samsung Wave devices running perfectly with that TouchWiz UI (also incorporated on Samsung Android device - except for the Nexus S, of course) we can only expect for much better features and with their plans to give the UI a different style.

The new things that Sammy is set to give the OS in the future aside from the new UI is the incorporation of the NFC feature, which stands for Near Field Communication, seen in the Nexus S. Samsung have sold "more than 5 million" Wave devices globally and they are targeting for a 10 million units sold of Waves in H1 of 2011.

Unfortunately, Samsung have not said anything about them giving the Bada 2.0 love to older Wave devices, we'll just wait for the heads up, though. What I am really excited for is the new UI that Samsung will fit the OS. I hope its not as disappointing as the TouchWiz UI.

Update: The new OS will feature: Push notifications, third-party multitasking support, a new UI with a "smart homescreen", improved security, integrated ad network, carrier billing support, HTML5, NFC (Near Field Communication), and speech recognition - BGR
