[Update] Google Nexus S made official by Best Buy

So is it safe to say right now that the rumored Google Nexus Two made by Samsung is only a rumor and will stay a rumor forever? Or will it just be named something else? But something else came up with this development which makes everything much more interesting and much more official.

Best Buy briefly showed a "pure Google" Nexus S which will be available over at Best Buy in time for the holiday season. Unfortunately that page was already taken down but if you really want to see this page you can check it out still because Google cached the page, fortunately. Now this brief show up of the "pure Google' phone dubbed as the Nexus S makes everything fit in their puzzle. Forget about the Nexus Two focus on the Nexus S.

The Nexus S is also said to run on Android Gingerbread or Android 2.3 and an official launch is imminent soon. The successor of the Nexus One is also said to be made by Samsung still but the rationale behind the S instead of the Two is that S will stand for Samsung. Quite reasonable right? The page that was accidentally published on Best Buy's site said that the phone is coming to T-Mobile.

I am very excited for this to develop into an official announcement.

Update: Endgadget seems to have photo of the Nexus S.

This makes thing EVEN MORE interesting! Click here to view more of Endgadget's gallery of the Nexus S.

Update:  The phone will have a code name GT-i9020 which is in reference to the international version of the Galaxy S currently available, the GT-i9000. Another photo of the said device (Nexus S) have been leaked from Best Buy's internal product listing.

The leaked photo seems to list some of the technical specs of the Nexus S. [Read]
