Are you a Virgin Mobile subscriber and an HTC Desire user? Then this is good news for you. The Desires that came with Virgin's branding will now get an Android 2.2 Froyo update. At least, even if Virgin's very late in pushing out the updates for the HTC Desire, your Desire will finally be updated to Android 2.2 Froyo.
The update will come via OTA (Over-The-Air). Your phone will automatically inform you that an update is already available and just go from there. The update, just like any other Android 2.2 Froyo handset in the world, offers many things from the older version, Android 2.1 Eclair. Some of these "new things" are tethering, Flash 10.1 support, and of course 720p HD video recording.
