Samsung Continuum with two displays is bound for Verizon

Over at Verizon the Samsung Galaxy S Fascinate's time on the limelight might be very short because of these leaked photos of a Samsung device which is bound for Verizon and is running on Android. We get two amazing things here with this device, first is, it features two displays and the other is that it gets the Galaxy S branding.

The bottom screen called the "Ticker", displays weather, RSS Feeds, notifications, and those kinds of things. It is an OLED display, actually, both are. The thing is, you don't need the primary (larger screen) to be turned on for you to see those information. Hence, consuming less of the battery which will result to a longer battery life.
"Whether or not this idea will catch on remains to be seen. Secondary OLED displays were big in clamshell phones, but there the form factor kind of demanded a solution for not having to always ‘open’ the phone to get even the most basic of information (such as missed calls and new messages)."
The Galaxy S branding is normally a sign that the phone is a high-end smartphone from Samsung. With the branding, this would mean that the Samsung Continuum is set to be a Galaxy S (Fascinate in Verizon's case) competition or a successor. But we never know, this might just be a sign that Samsung is now putting the Galaxy S branding to more of its devices, but I doubt that, I think, this phone is a high-end smartphone, its got 2 displays for crying out loud.

Information about this smartphone is limited, limited to only two, a dedicated camera button and a microSD slot on the side. So we'll keep our noses up for this one.
