Local: Nokia officially launched the N8 in the Philippines

Nokia Philippines officially and formally launched their latest flagship phone, the N8 in the Philippines. They have started to accept pre-orders back in October 8th. We have also heard and read about how the smartphone performs and generally where it is positioned with the other smartphones available today in the market, not only in the Philippines but all over the world. I've read two reviews of the N8 and TechRadar's version is, personally, kind of a bit harsh. But I can see where TechRadar is coming with the things they have said with the device. The review that I have featured on my site is Endgadget's, not to say that I do not trust Tech Radar its just that, Endgadget's a bit shorter than TechRadar's.

At the end, it all boils down into one thing, if the phone one is selling will be bought by the general public and most of them actually do not mind what reviews say about it. In a more personal note, I like the Nokia N8, generally, but I will have to agree with Endgadget, its the software that's letting the N8 down not everything around it. But anyway, the real news is that it's here in the Philippines and is made official by Nokia, by holding an event earlier today.

The smartphone will retail for Php 23,699 that features a 3.5 AMOLED display in a Gorilla Glass screen, unconfirmed yet but as what Endgadget said, the screen is scratch-resistant, and they've tested it too. For more info on the smartphone from Nokia click here.
