By this month, most of Facebook's user will be able to upload high-resolution photos plus added features that makes viewing and tagging photos a much easier task. The social networking giant is really making it very difficult for other social networking sites to compete. With updates and new features that makes "Facebooking" a much more enjoyable experience.

The added feature with the higher resolution photo uploading will start rolling out within this month. Since Facebook has 500 Million users worldwide, possibly more, the features that'll be added to the site will not be felt or used by all "Facebookers" simultaneously, just like when Facebook decided to change their homepage, and like Twitter's new website UI.

The new feature will allow the users to upload photos of up to2048pixel of resolution, that's big. With the onset of photography in the local scene (Philippines), we should expect more loading and more photos in high-res to be viewed.

"Once a photo is uploaded, Facebook users can also tag their friends in bulk, instead of identifying them individually. While the site's new bulk tagging mechanism can reportedly detect when a user has tagged the same person twice, Facebook says it won't be using facial recognition technology anytime soon. "Picasa and iPhoto -- they'll detect a face and say, 'This is Sam,' and they'll suggest that it's Sam," Odin explains. "We're not doing that. We're not linking any faces to profiles automatically. Right now, we want to stay away from that because it's a very touchy subject.""
