Motorola Droid 2 over at Verizon gets an R2-D2 livery

The Motorola Droid 2 over at Verizon, is one of the best Android based smartphones in the market today. It's specs speak for itself. It features a 3.7 inch 480 x 854 pixels capacitive touch screen display, a slide out full QWERTY keyboard, 8GB of internal memory with a microSD slot that can support up to 32GB, 1GHz processor, Android 2.2 and Motorola's Android skin.

But this post is about the R2-D2 limited edition Droid 2. You can get it over at Verizon, obviously, for $249 plus a $100 mail-in rebate with a two year contract. That means the money you're gonna get from your pocket when you want one of these is $349. The phone will be available on September 30.

The $349 you're gonna shell out includes this cool Star Wars-themed dock. Which, I think, is a pretty good deal, or not? Rumors say that this device will have a 1.2GHz processor instead of the standard Droid 2 1GHz. But it did not have any indication or any confirmation of that rumor. Anyway, click on the source link below to read the press release from Motorola and Verizon.
