Acer updates its latest Aspire line of notebooks


The Acer Aspire, gets updated to pack a more powerful GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) for the AS5742G (15.6 inch) and the AS7745 (17.3 inch). The two versions of the Aspire line will still have the same CPU an Intel Core 2010 but the GPU will get an upgrade with nVidia's GeForce 400M with Optimus Technology that has the capability to switch from the integrated and discrete graphics options. Both notebooks will be available at below $800. Unfortunately there is no word of the exact date of its availability.


The Acer Aspire AS5745DG will have an update too which is powered by Intels's i5 Core. One of the first notebooks to get nVidia's 3D Vision. The upgrade will then allow you to get the feature of 3DTV Play, which lets you put your 3D capability of your notebook to a larger 3D TV. The notebook will cost you $1000 and is said to hit stores in October.

The Acer Aspire AS8943G (18.4 inch) is also updated not only the GPU but also the RAM and the CPU. It will get Intel's i7 quad Core, 8GB of RAM and ATI's newest Mobility Radeon 5850 graphics all for $1,499.99.
