Android officially has 100,000 apps

Yup, they made it! Finally, Android has 100,000 apps in their Android Market. A tweet from them (Android) made it all official. But different versions of the OS does not support all of the apps in the market. A number of paid apps aren't available in other countries. Nonetheless, they have reached a milestone. Although, it is still a long way behind that of Apple's 300,000 apps available in their market.

Sprint starts taking pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy Tab

Confirmed, the rumor we had earlier did not take long for its confirmation. Sprint just announced that they are starting to take pre-orders of the "award-winning" Samsung Galaxy Tab "at any participating Sprint Store. So, how much? At $399.99 (tax exclusive) you can get the Galaxy Tab with a 2-year contract of Spint's 3G Tablet Mobile Broadband plan. Once you've pre-ordered your Galaxy Tab you'll be included in their waiting list and the device will start to ship on November 14th.

"Sprint customers will have two rate plans to choose from for their Samsung Galaxy Tab: a 2GB data plan with unlimited messaging for $29.99 per month or a 5GB data plan with unlimited messaging for $59.99 per month (plus taxes and surcharges)."

BlackBerry Bold coming to T-Mobile on Nov 17th?

The yet to be announced by RIM, BlackBerry Bold 9780 leaks out again, this time its from TmoNews. Not only will the smartphone be released in Europe and Canada, it seems with this leak its also gonna be released in the US. T-Mobile might be the first US carrier to offer the Bold 9780 starting November 17th.

The BlackBerry Bold 9780 features a 480 x 360 scree, 3G, 512MB RAM, WiFi, and a 5MP camera with auto focus and LED flash.

"The old BlackBerry Bold 9700 is currently $129.99 on contract at T-Mobile, so the 9780 should not cost more than $200."

Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi only model hits Best Buy for $499.99?

A photo showing an ad of the Samsung Galaxy Tab WiFi-only version from Best Buy is leaked by Pcketables. It says that the WiFi only version would be priced at $499.99 ($1 pricier than the iPad WiFi). This will be iPad WiFi's direct competition by Samsung. The photo also shows that the Galaxy Tab wears a Super AMOLED display, which is more like of a typographical error, because Samsung will be shipping the Galaxy Tab with a Super TFT LCD screen. 

Sony PSP Go price been cut to $200 in the US and Japan

Price cut for the PSP Go,launched a year ago. From $249 to $199, Sony have announced that it will be cutting it down to that price. Endgadget has confirmation too that in the US, the said price cut is true. In Japan Sony have cut the price to from ¥26,800 to ¥16,800. In Philippine peso that'll be Php 10,700 to Php 8,600.

The Apple iPad's orientation lock to be changed permanently to a mute button

Remember iOS 4.2? The iOS bound to change the iPad to basically give the iPad features it should have but doesn't? When that update gets to be officially released one thing that will be changed is a button on the side of the iPad, the Orientation lock button. A button that basically holds your iPad's landscape and portrait view of the screen. In iOS 4.2 that will become a mute button, permanently. Steve Jobs made it very clear that there will be no user configurability, making it permanent. Well unless some hacker would find a way to change all that.
