Nokia announces three new Asha phones - Asha 305, Asha 306, and Asha 311

Asha 305

Nokia has unveiled three new phones in their Asha line. These are the Nokia Asha 305, 306, and the Asha 311. The 305, 306, and 311 will all form part of Nokia's Asha Touch line of devices. The platform they run on is an evolution of the S40 and is properly called as the "Asha Touch". These phones will all have their own dedicated Facebook and Twitter application so that users will stay connected with friends and family on the go. With the announcement of these devices, Nokia also intros the new Nokia Browser which promises users up to 90% reduction in data consumption which not only makes web browsing faster but also cheaper. The Asha 305 features Nokia's Easy Swap Dual SIM technology.

Asha 306

What makes the Asha 306 different from the 305 is it's WiFi capability. Yup, the 305 does not have WiFi and with the 306, Nokia has announced their cheapest WiFi capable phone today. The Asha 306 is being powered by a 1GHz processor.

Asha 311

The Nokia 311 on the other hand sports a different design from the two first Ashas I have discussed. The 311 , like the 306 packs WiFi connectivity. The 311 also gets a 1GHz processor with a better camera at 3.2MP.

With regards to the availability of these devices, both the Asha 305is scheduled to be launched within the Q2 of 2012 while the Asha 306 and the 311 will be launched in Q3. For pricing...
