USA: Sony Xperia Ion S to come to AT&T [CES 2012]

Sony, aside from announcing the Xperia S, also announced the Sony Xperia Ion S which is bound to be sold exclusively by AT&T. Basically the phone is almost the same as the Xperia S the difference lies in the screen size and the design of the handset. The Xperia S has that amazing cut at the bottom part of the device while the Xperia Ion S, doesn't. You can check the Xperia S here. Sony did not say anything about when the device will be launched by AT&T but that should happen soon.

So what's the difference between the Sony Xperia S and the Xperia Ion S? The screen and the design and that's it. The latter sports a larger 4.6" HD Reality Display (1280x720) display. The Xperia Ion S' battery, due to a larger screen, is also beefed up to 1900 mAh The photo below is the Xperia S, you can immediately see the difference in terms of design.
