Google Nexus S 4G to get Adroid 2.3.5 Gingerbread update in July 25th

The Samsung made Nexus S 4G is confirmed to get the Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update come July 25th. This specific 4G capable Nexus S is only being sold via Sprint in the US and is said to be plagued with a slow 4G WiMax connection, hence the update. Aside from a boost of 4G connectivity with Sprint, the update is also expected to bring in changes and whatnots into the smartphone.

These other changes that are expected from the 2.3.5 version of Gingerbread are WiFi bug fixes, speakerphone and voice quality should be improved, and an addition to a 4G toggle feature. Also, Android Community is saying that this update will enable the NFC chip that the Nexus S have been sporting the time it was launched (but is still unconfirmed).
