iPhone 5 to launch in August?

Apple's next iteration of the iPhone dubbed as the iPhone 4S or the iPhone 5 is tipped to be launched during the month of August. Of course, I know most if not all of you have already heard a lot of rumors about the device like it will have a bigger internal storage capacity, a bigger screen, cameras with dual-LED flash, and actually the list can go on. You might also notice that I am not really blogging much about those rumors, I just don't think they are important. I mean, yeah it's Apples way of building the hype before it's inevitable launch but the specs will be there during the day Apple announces the smartphone.

One of those rumors is that the next iPhone will feature a tear-drop like design. More like that of the MacBook Air where its thicker in one edge then gets thinner on the opposite. But of course, these are just rumors that are said to be coming from "trusted sources" or tipsters.

BGR, have there own tipsters and sources. They are reporting that the iPhone might be launched or announced sometime in August. To be more narrow, beginning or at the middle of the month. Some techblogs still insists (maybe because of their own sources) on the September launch. In Apple's tradition, September is mainly focused for the iPod, but who knows really? Apple might even break all their traditions and whatnots and surprise the world with an August announcement.

Whether it'd be the iPhone 4S or a major update, iPhone 5, that the Cupertino-based company will announce, one thing is for sure, I will be blogging when that time comes. Until then, all we have to do is wait. Maybe next week Apple will start sending out invites to a mysterious event in August. Until I read this post from BGR.
