Google Chrome Stable: Chrome 12 now in stable version!

Google Chrome Stable Update

Version: 12.0.742.91
Platforms:
  • Windows
  • Mac
  • Linux
  • Chrome Frame

Google have released Chrome (Stable) version 12.0.742.91 which officially puts Chrome 12 out of it's beta phase. With this release expect enhances and new features, of course, like:
  • Hardware accelerated 3D CSS
  • New Safe Browsing protection against downloading malicious files
  • Ability to delete Flash cookies from inside Chrome
  • Launch Apps by name from the Omnibox
  • Integrated Sync into new settings pages
  • Improved screen reader support
  • New warning when hitting Command-Q on Mac
  • Removal of Google Gears
For more information about these new features head over to the Google Chrome Blog.

Chrome 12 will come out as, I believe, a roll out. Google said: "Chrome users will be automatically updated to this new version of Chrome in the coming days" or maybe it means that the release will be out in the next "coming days". Anyway, since Google said that users will be automatically be updated to this release then I think all you have to do by then is to check if you are already running on Chrome 12 (for stable version users). To check your version of Chrome click on Options (wrench button) > About Google Chrome > then viola! A window will pop-out showing you the version of the browser.

Update: I just installed the stable version of Google Chrome and confirmed that the version is already at 12.0.742.91. Download Chrome 12 now!
