We already heard rumors about RIM's messaging system, BBM, to be going outside BlackBerry. Well, that rumor is here to be killed. During the BlackBerry World 2011 event, Mike Kirkup answered to a question regarding to BBM going cross-platform. He quickly noted that the Canadian-based company do not have any plans in offering the BBM service to other platforms.
"The reason is due to BBM being a central feature to attracting new users to the BlackBerry platform." - N4BB
