Google releases Google Maps 5.3 for Android - includes location dashboard

Google have recently updated their Google Maps app for Android. The version, 5.3, now comes with a dashboard for you to check how much rim you have spent on a certain location. Evident by the photo you see above, the dashboard simply shows you where you spend most of your time on like at work, at home, or outside (neither at work nor at home).

"Bearing version number 5.3, the update brings new location features that target Latitude an Hotpot users. “If you’ve enabled Location History for Google Latitude, you’ve been able to visualize interesting trends in your location history with a personal dashboard at google.com/latitude on your computer,” writes Google. “Now, you can also see your dashboard on your phone by tapping View location history from your Latitude profile.”" - BGR

Another feature added to the update is the ability for users to rate locales via Places or Hotspot. The feature also allows you to personalize aspects of their location which was previously done automatically by Google.

The app is now available at the Android Market and  requires Android 1.6 Donut or higher.
