Symbian Belle now available for download - update your Nokia phones now!

Nokia has finally started rolling out the Symbian Belle update to the following devices globally, Nokia X7, N8, C6-01, C7, E7, E6, and the Nokia Oro. The update is not administered OTA so you need a PC or a Mac for you to get the update and, of course, a USB cable. An instructional video is available after the break from Nokia which explains how to get the update and what it brings to your smartphone. You need the Nokia Suite application installed on your computers to perform the update. Download it from the Nokia website.

Opera Mobile 11.5.1 for Symbian update now available

Opera did a major update to all their mobile browsers a few weeks ago and now they have updated the Opera Mobile for Symbian to 11.5.1. It is now available for download over at the Ovi Store or Nokia Store. What are the things added into this version of the browser? Opera added predictive text input and language choice in search fields and of course improved the overall stability and performance of the browser. Head over the break for the full change log.

USA: Symbian Anna rolling out to Nokia smartphones in the US

Nokia started to roll out the Symbian Anna update to compatible Nokia smartphones in the US. The said version of the platform was seen being rolled out to Symbian^3 handsets back in September and it is only recently that it has made it's way into the US. According to Endgadget, Nokia has confirmed that the Nokia C6-01, E7, and N8 users should start getting the update. For those who are in the US and who have these devices you might want to check that out by running the software update tool on your Nokia smartphone.

Vertu Constellation T officially launched

The Vertu Constellation T, Vertu's first full-touch smartphone, is now officially launched. The launching took place in Milan, Italy where actors, actresses, and super models attended the event. Anyway, the Vertu Constellation T is now available over at their retail stores or online. Unfortunately, I don't have any idea how much the handset is being sold but don't expect this to be cheap, like any other Vertus out there.

Nokia 701 announced - the smartphone that has the brightest screen in the world

Nokia, together with the Nokia 600 (Nokia's loudest smartphone to date), have introduced another Symbian Belle device, the Nokia 701, touted to be the brightest mobile display you'll ever find in the world. The smartphone, even if it looks like the Nokia C7, this smartphone not only runs on Symbian's latest version of the platform but it also carries specs that is greater than the C7.

Nokia announces the Nokia 600 - a loud smartphone running on Symbian Belle

Nokia after unveiling the next iteration of the Symbian ecosystem, Symbian Belle, have announced their loudest smartphone ever, the Nokia 600. The Nokia 600, along side another smartphone that I will be blogging about after this post, is the first smartphone to come with Symbian Belle. Being Nokia's loudest smartphone to date, the Nokia 600 is capable to producing crisp sound from it's speakers at 106 phon.

Nokia announces Symbian Belle

After recently giving the Symbian ecosystem a new look with the launching of Symbian Anna, Nokia did not hesitate on making the platform even prettier with the new Symbian Belle. Belle, brings in addition homescreens to what Anna is giving you, 6 homescreens. Also, Symbian Belle brings in live widgets, which I believe is great for the improvement of the platform. Also, Nokia is putting, what they say, is Symbian's fastest mobile browser ever into the newest version of Symbian. Nokia phones launched with Symbian Belle in them will also sport NFC chips. Nokia officially releases Symbian Anna for the Nokia N8, C7, C6-01, and the E7

Nokia has released Symbian's first major update to the Nokia N8, C7, C6-01, and the E7 starting today. The update will bring in lots of new and cool stuff into your Nokia smartphones. Aside from that Symbian Anna is here to completely give your device a complete make over and a user experience improvement.

Nokia introduces the Nokia 500 running on Symbian Anna

Nokia have finally unveiled and introduced it's newest member of the family which, runs on Symbian Anna, the new Nokia 500. The smartphone, is one of the fastest smartphones made by Nokia as it is powered by a 1GHz processor. The device also runs on the latest version of Symbian, Anna, and comes in either black or white and also comes with different rear panel color covers.

You might have been hearing about this smartphone from Nokia. Dubbed as the Nokia 700 Zeta, its evidence that Nokia has not yet stopped in making Symbian powered smartphones even if its clear that the platform will definitely have no future ahead of it. Anyway, the Nokia 700 Zeta's press photos are leaked on the web and here they are.

Nokia starts shipping C2-00 and re-announces the X1-01

Nokia have announced yet again the X1-01 music-centric phone. You already know that the X1-01 is a low-cost phone that features dual-sim capability and is a phoen made for the music junkie (click link for more details). The other phone that Nokia is said to have started shipping is the Nokia C2-00 (photo).

Nokia announced the launching of the Nokia N8 in pink

When the first Symbian^3 device by Nokia launched, it was available in four colors namely, Black, Blue, Green and Orange (but I think the Orange never made it or did it?). Anyway, today Nokia is launching the N8 in "pretty pink". Yes in pink! This is, base on their blog, in response of the color Pink being voted as the color of the year by Pantone.

Nokia announces their new revamped Symbian platform, the Symbian Anna

During the Nokia Event held in London, today, Nokia have announced alongside two new smartphones from the company, the newly revamped Symbian OS called Symbian Anna or as what they call it previously as "PR2" (product release 2). The two new smartphone I am talking about sports this new upgraded version of Symbian are the Nokia E6 and the Nokia X7.

And then it came, officially! Nokia, during their event in London, announced the Nokia X7 a smartphone built for the entertainment conscious individual. The X7's most unique feature, I should say, is the 4 built-in speakers that are around the device. The phone, like the Nokia E6, also sports the new Symbian platform, called Symbian Anna, which I will be blogging after this post. More info about the X7 after the break.

Nokia announces the Nokia E6

The Nokia E6, one of the Finnish company's newest Symbian powered smartphone targeted for the business professional is now being launched. We already saw the E6 being leaked in photos before but this time, its for real. The new smartphone also sports the new revamped Symbian platform! It is evident in how the platform looks and in the video. Specs and video after the break.

[Update] Nokia X7 becomes official with a video

Remember that phone you see in the photo? That was then, the alleged Nokia X7. Today though two companies have uploaded on their respective YouTube channels videos about the X7. Those videos actually make the rumored and leaked smartphone official. The companies that uploaded the videos are Nokia and Three UK.

UK: Nokia E7 finally available for £499

Even if it's very delayed, at least the phone is now available in the UK. It was said to be launched in April and it did, but it's still delayed. The Symbian^3 device can be bought directly from Nokia's online store in the UK for £499 which is SIM-free and unlocked. Nokia also allows you to get the phone for £469 on Pay As You Go. Also, they allow you to tie your phone up with a contract from network carriers which will be free from £35 per month. For those eager Brits wanting to get the E7 head over to Nokia's UK online store!

Nokia E7 finally available in the US

Finally! The very long wait if over! The Nokia E7 is now available in the US! And yes it is already in stock and will be shipping to customers who wants to get one. THe E7, as we should all know by now, is an N8 targeted for professionals. Nokia to hold a Symbian Event in April 12

Nokia is going to announce something on April 12 at 10am CET. Endgadget took the job of asking Nokia, where this event will be happening and it will be in the city of London. So, what will Nokia be talking about during this event? Are they going to announce a new Symbian phone? Or is it something about the OS' transformation? Whatever that is I will be here blogging about it.
