Android One arrives in the Philippines!

Google has officially made the Android One available in the Philippines! First launched in India, Android One is Google's answer to the question of how to make the world connected to the internet. Google is partnering with local phone makers in the names of Cherry Mobile and My phone to bring affordable smartphone in the country. These smartphones are called Cherry One and My Phone Uno which will be running the latest version of Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. The Philippines is the 6th country to get Android One. A very affordable Android 2.1 Eclair running smartphone by Cherry Mobile will be offered in a much more insane price. The Cherry Mobile Nova is regularly priced at 11,490 Php, but on December 11th from 10am - 1pm on participating Cherry Mobile outlets that price will be lower by 30% bringing the price of the smartphone to just 7,990 Php. This is Cherry Mobile's version of the sale that Nokia and LG did. We just hope that CM's will be a lot more smoothly.
