Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo starts receiving the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update

Sony Ericsson promised that Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread will be pushed to all their smartphones come October of 2011 which was announced together with their introduction of the SE Neo V. According to reports, users from Northern Europe and the Netherlands have said that they have started receiving the Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread update for their Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo.

The update seems to be arriving to unlocked Xperia Neos and is unfortunately not available over the air. So, you need your computers in order for you to check and get the update.

What's with Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread then? Well, the software will now have a built-in screen capture feature and of course Google Video Chat. Also, SE is bringing in the Facebook Inside Xperia feature that is more "pervasive", the 3D sweep panorama feature (even if the phone only takes 2D images) that was first introduced to the Xperia Arc S, and a swipe text input feature.
