Sharp announced that they have stopped production of the two Galapagos tablets that they first announced. The Galapagos 5.5 and 10.8 might be gone but Sharp is producing a tablet that is sized between the first two which will be a 7-inch tablet. Even if the 5.5 and 10.8 Galapagos tablets wont be available for orders, Sharp will still continue to offer eBook downloads on their store.
So what do we know about the 7-incher? According to Android Community, it will be sporting a 7" (1024x600) touchscreen display, a 1GHz nVidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, a 5MP rear facing camera, a 2MP front, and a battery life of up to 7.5hrs
