Samsung has finally launched their Android-powered iPod Touch challenger in the US, the Galaxy Player 4.0 and 5.0 (a.k.a Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and 5.0). The devices where first announced back in MWC 2011 and was also given a launch date in the US market back in late September. The Galaxy Player 4.0 is priced at $229.99 and the Galaxy Player 5.0 at $269.99. You can head over to Samsung's official website to check out which stores and online retailers are selling it. USA: Samsung puts a launch date and price on the Galaxy WiFi 4 and 5 - October 16
Samsung finally gave the Galaxy WiFi 4 and 5 their price and date of availability in the US. On October 16th these PMPs running on Android will start selling in the US market for $269 (Galaxy WiFi 5) and for $229 (Galaxy WiFi 4). I have already posted stories about these devices, in fact these were unveiled a long time ago. Take note that these devices when you buy them will be running on Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread right out from the box.

Samsung Galaxy WiFi 4 launched in Singapore
Samsung Mobile Singapore's Facebook page officially announced that the Samsung Galaxy WiFi 4 will be available today (August 13). The Galaxy WiFi, together with it's bigger brother, were officially announced back in CES 2011, and then after that the PMP, via a press release, was announced and was launched in Russia & Switzerland.

Samsung Galaxy WiFi 4 and 5 launching in Russia and Switzerland - other countries to follow
The Samsung Galaxy WiFi 4 and 5 are Android PMPs (Portable Music Player) touted to kill the iPod. These devices were formally announced during the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona, Spain. also announced to be available in the US by Spring, the Galaxy WiFi 4 & 5 are currently available only in the South Korean market. But Samsung have already started to roll out the PMPs in the Russian and Swiss market. Other markets will be getting their share of the PMPs "soon".

Samsung announces the Galaxy WiFi 4 & 5 in the US to come this Spring
Samsung is actually busy today presenting to the press their 2011 lineup for the US market. One of them is the Samsung Galaxy WiFi 4 and the Galaxy WiFi 5. Today the Korean giant announced that both devices, which are actually Galaxy S-es without the phone, will be arriving in the US this Spring.
