The Motorola Defy is an Android smartphone that's "life proof" which features a 3.7 WGA touch screen display, MotoBlur, WiFi, GPS, DLNA, a 5MP camera with flash and CrystalTalk technology. It's coming to T-Mobile this November 3rd for just $99 on contract.

The smartphone might not be the fastest Android device but hey, if you're an outdoor kind of guy then you definitely need one. It's waterproof, scratch proof, and dust proof.

The "off road" Android smartphone - Motorola Defy

The Motorola Defy which is running on either Android 2.1 or 2.2, there is still no definite answer to that. This rugged, rough, and for the "off road" touch screen Android smartphone from Motorola will hit the US shores. It will be presented later during the 25th season premier of the "Oprah Winfrey Show".

This smartphone will be available through T-Mobile just in time for the holiday season, the perfect time for people to buy for gifts. This is also the projected time that the Windows Phone 7 will be released. But rumors already have it that the WP7 OS will be launched on October 11. Until that rumor gets confirmed then I'll post about it.

Going back to the Motorola Defy, it will be featuring a 3.7 WGA touch screen display, MotoBlur, WiFi, GPS, DLNA, a 5MP camera with flash and CrystalTalk technology.

The roughness, ruggedness, and "off road"-ness of this smartphone is not just on the design, well, its part of it but this smartphone is said to be dust proof, scratch proof, and water resistant. Now that's a cool smartphone.
