Asus had announced that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update will come to the Transformer Pad, Transformer Pad Prime, and the Transformer Pad Infinity. Like HTC's announcement, Asus is a bit vague in terms of when exactly the update will be pushed but at unlike HTC, Asus said that it is scheduled to be pushed "in the coming months". Head after the break to read Asus' announcement.

UK: [Update] Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime now available fore pre-order
The Asus Transformer Prime, the world's first quad-core device, was announced back in November. Until now, the device has not yet been shipping to doorsteps anywhere in the world. It is already available for pre-order in the US and the British market adds to the number of countries that the tablet is available for pre-order. Courtesy of Clove UK, the Brits can now pre-order either the 32GB or the 64GB WiFi-only Transformer Prime. Clove's estimate time of arrival for the tablet is on January of 2012. Albeit not yet official, its a good indication on when Asus will officialy launch the tablet in the UK.

USA: Asus Transformer Prime to be released in the US in December 19th says Asus
The world's most powerful device yet will be launched in the US in December 19th according to Asus. The tablet which sports nVidia's Tegra 3 quad-core processor is already available for pre-order in various retailers in the US; Asus, Best Buy, Amazon, and on Newegg. SlashGear was able to do a hands-on and most probably they will be reviewing the device too with that they were able to put side to side the original Transformer and the Transformer Prime and not a lot might have changed but definitely they are changes that are noticeable (video after the break).

USA: Newegg starts accepting pre-orders of the Transformer Prime says it will be released in Dec. 8th
Asus, Amazon, and Best Buy are the first to put the quad-core tablet, Asus Transformer Prime, on pre-order. Newegg is the newest retailer to also accept pre-orders of the tablet. What is more interesting with this is the fact that the retailer is saying that the Transformer Prime will be released in the US on December 8th. Newegg is also putting a $499.99 price tag on the tablet so basically its just a question on who will first ship the tablet to those who will pre-order it.

Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime officially gets a product page
Asus officially puts up the Eee Pad Transformer Prime's product page where you will be able to browse the specs and photo gallery of the device. Unfortunately, like the landing page of the tablet, it does not tell us when Asus is actually gonna make the tablet available for buying. Anyway, regardless of that fact, it's still is a sign that Asus is nearing its time to launch the tablet which could be running on Android 4.0 and not on Honeycomb.

Asus officially announces the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime the world's first quad-core tablet
Asus has finally and officially unveiled the world's first quad-core tablet. The Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime will be the first announced (hopefully also the first to be launched) tablet that is sporting nVidia's Tegra 3 quad-core processor. We have already heard a lot of reports that Asus is aiming to launch this tablet within 2011, to be a bit specific "early December", and unfortunately the Transformer Prime is announced to be running on Android 3.2 Honeycomb out from the box. But, there can be a lot of things that can happen from now to December, so hopefully Asus can put Android 4.0 ICS in the tablet so that it will also be the world's first Android ICS tablet.

Asus sets up a landing page for the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime
This will be a very short post regarding Asus, most anticipated tablet that they will be launching soon, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. We saw the tablet teased to us by Asus and we know that it will be carrying the same aesthetics as the Taiwan-based company's first ultrabook, you know that Zen of it all. The tablet just got a landing page that Asus made. Its just one page telling you what to expect with the new Transformer Prime. Asus already confirmed that the Transformer Prime will be sporting a quad-core processor, probably by nVidia, and I am guessing since they already put up a landing page for the device it will be launched within this year, that is if they don't hit any bumps along the way. You can check out the teaser video of the Transformer Prime here.

So, what is the name of the successor of the Transformer? It is called the Asus Transformer Prime. But anyway, base on the video that Asus released, it looks like they are bringing the "Zen" of it all from their Ultrabook to their tablets (see photo above).
