Google Chrome 14 exits Beta and is now available for download

Chrome 14 is finally out of it's beta phase, which apparently means that Google Chrome 14 is now available to the general public. So what's Google Chrome 14.0.835.163 have in store for us? Well, Google says that Chrome 14 brings in two technologies that developers (oh well, no user features added, I believe) to easily create web apps and games.

These technologies are:
  • The Web Audio API enables developers to add fancy audio effects such as room simulation and spatialization.
  • Native Client is an open-source technology which allows C and C++ code to be seamlessly and securely executed inside the browser. Currently, Native Client only supports applications listed in the Chrome Web Store, but we are working to remove this limitation as soon as possible.
For Mac users out there, this version of Chrome wile now use Mac OS X Lion's overylay scrollbars, which should appear while you are scrolling. Since the Lion now supports full screen mode, Chrome 14 will also take advantage of that feature which you can do by clicking on the full screen button or by doing this Ctrl+Shift+F.

Of course, any update would always mean better performance, security fixes, and bug fixes, this update gets them too. Google also says that this version of Chrome comes with some "all-around visual polish[es]).

For more info about the security fixes with this version of the browser head over here.

Update your Google Chromes now to 14.0.835.163 by clicking these: Settings (wrench button) > About Google Chrome > and wait for it to install the newest available version of the browser. You can also go to Google Chrome's official download page to get it. Enjoy!
