Samsung reports 10 million Samsung Galaxy S units sold
When Samsung wants something they get it, don't they? When they said they wanted to reach 10 million units of the most popular Android device then they mean it. 2 days before Christmas I posted about Samsung garnering 9.3 million Galaxy S-es sold and today, They have reported that they have reached the 10 million mark.
And why am I not surprised? Well, Samsung is really ready to take a good challenge with their nearest competition, the mobile phone manufacturer king, Nokia. They have said that Samsung is ready and is expecting to beat Nokia as the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer in a few years from now. Do you think Samsung can catch up with Nokia?
Today might already be 2011, and that they have targeted to reach the 10 M mark before 2010 closes, but hey it's the second day of the year, that ain't so bad right? Samsung have sold 1.4 million Galaxy S-es per month and 40,000 units per day.
"As for the region-wise sales, Samsung sold 2m in South Korea, 4m in North America and 2.5m in Europe."

Verizon cuts Samsung Galaxy Tab price down to $499.99
Verizon offered the Android tablet from Samsung, the Galaxy Tab, for $599.99 when they launched the device. But maybe they felt the price of the device over their stores are just too way up there, isn't it? Or maybe they just want to really cut the price down to just $499.99 a full $100 from it's previous price as a late Christmas offering or a way to welcome 2011. Either way, Verizon, although unofficial, is to offer the said tablet for the said price. The offer comes with a $60 movie rental that you will be able to claim from the Samsung Media Hub & the Blockbuster Mobile app. To those who bought the tablet for $600 Verizon is said to be refunding the differences provided you have the receipt and that you bought your Tab from the 14 days.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 9 gets downloaded 20 million times
When the latest browser offering from Microsoft was launched back in September, the Internet Explorer 9 got a good welcome from the downloading public. Just 2 days from it's public release the browser got 2 million downloads right away. So when will IE ever stop it's reign for being the most used browser in the world? I think it will never. Before 2010 have ended and 2011 came in, Microsoft saw 20 million downloads of the IE9 beta.
20 million might not really be enough since that only takes 0.46% of the global market for browsers. The real meat is that IE (regardless of the version) is the most used browser in the world. Head over to NetMarketShare to check the statistics out.
