Twitter releases new Twitter app for iOS and Android - now features "Expansive experiences"

Twitter has released a new version of their official Twitter application on the iOS and Android. You can get the mobile application from here. Anyway, what are the new things you should expect from the app? Well, the things you see on Twitter Web. First is, expanded tweets! Yup! You can now view media inside the Twitter application by simply tapping on a tweet that contains the media. Preview links, view photos, and even play videos inside the application! Other things added are better search and better way to discover what is happening on Twitter. Also, they have improved push notifications on both the iPhone and on Android.

Twitter has pushed an update to their Android and iOS apps, of course, with new features into both OS-es. The new Android app is now optimized for Android 4.0 ICS.
