IND: Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro and Neo V launched

Sony Ericsson officially launches two new Android-powered smartphone in the Indian market today. The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro (photo: left) and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo V (photo: right) are now available in India. For pricing is, unfortunately, yet to be announced but according to our trusty source, Digit, the Xperia Pro should be priced at about Rs. 22,000 and the Neo V at around Rs. 17,500. UK: Finally the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro is now available in the UK for £306

So finally, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro arrives in the UK. We knew that the device was delayed by the manufacturer due to some problems in making them. Today, you can now get the Xperia Pro over the Clove for  £306 (VAT inclusive). For that SIM-free price you'd be getting an Android Gingerbread smartphone that sports a physical sliding QWERTY keyboard but everything else is identical with the Xperia Neo.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro delayed til Q4 of 2011

The QWERTY sporting Android powered smartphone by Sony Ericsson dubbed as the Xperia Pro is now reported to be delayed from it's launching until October of this year. That is confirmed by Carphone Warehouse who updated and have said on their site that the phone is expected to be shipped during that month. Although, Sony Ericsson's UK website still lists he smartphone's launch date this month. The Xperia Pro is actually the Xperia Neo sans the QWERTY keyboard.

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro was unveiled back in the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Spain, after that it is only today that the price of the device was revealed or am I just too late about it? Anyway, another first blood to the Brits as they will be apparently the first nation to get the Xperia Pro. Sony Ericsson have just put the QWERTY keyboard-sporting smartphone on pre-order on their official online store for £349.99 SIM free.

And here comes, officially, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, which was touted to be the next iteration of the Vivaz. The photo clearly shows the resemblance of the Xperia Neo to the Vivaz. Anyway, during Sony Ericsson's event in Barcelona, Spain they were showcasing three smartphones first was the Xperia Arc, the Xperia Neo, Xperia Pro, and then the Xperia Play.
