The world's first phablet device, the Galaxy Note I has started receiving a firmware update that brings it up to par with the Galaxy Note II. Aside from bringing in some bug fixes making the device work more smoothly and perfectly, one very important feature comes with this update and that's multi-tasking. The update is being administered via OTA or via Kies, however you want to get it. If you want to update your Note Is via Kies, make sure to get the latest Kies software since Samsung has updated it. Cheers!

Samsung officially announced the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update to the Galaxy S and the Galaxy Tab
Samsung have officially announced the availability of the Android 2.3 Gingerbread update for it's Galaxy line of devices, most notably the (first) Galaxy S (GT-i9000) and the Galaxy Tab. The Galaxy S was already receiving the Gingerbread update, at least reportedly, in Italy (due to some Blogger issues it seems my post about that story is gone).

Samsung Galaxy S II gets its first software update
Very fresh on some markets in the market, the Samsung Galaxy S II is already getting it's very first software update. Nope, it ain't an Android update to 2.3.4 Gingerbread. The phone is actually getting two updates the first fixes some Swype responsiveness issues and gives the phone's connectivity issues a fix. The second update fixes the phone's automatic brightness. You will need your Samsung Kies for you to get the update. So get your Galaxy S IIs connected to your PCs and get those fixes right now.

Samsung Kies 2.0 Beta now available for download
Yes, Samsung's phone PC suite, the Kies has a lot of bugs, eats a lot of your PC's resources, and most importantly, it isn't that user-friendly as you would like it to be. Samsung fortunately knows that, and has done something to ease off the pain that it's users are experiencing whenever they use the PC suite software.
