An avid follower of TechPump sent this in. The Samsung Galaxy Note II in the Philippines has started receiving the Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update. It is a 260MB update so you might want to use your WiFi network in downloading this package. For those who owns a Galaxy Note II, you can now check your devices for the update by tapping through, Settings > About Device > Software Update > Check for updates. The device should prompt you about it. You can also get the update via Samsung Kies. Just plug your device to your machines and run Samsung Kies. PHIL: Globe Telecom makes the Galaxy Note II available today

This was supposed to happen yesterday, but anyway, Globe has officially launched and totally made the Samsung Galaxy Note II available today or yesterday. Globe is offering the phablet for a monthly commitment of Php 1,799 with Globe's Plan 999. Get it? Php 1,799 cash + Plan 999 = Php 2,798 monthly for 2 years and you need a Php 19,200 cashout. Not that I am discouraging you but this is how local carriers do their stuff in the Philippines. Catchy if you just look at it at the P 1,799 or just the Plan 999 figures but actually the device will be free only if you get it coupled with Globe's Plan 2499. Anyway, head over to Globe's website and order your Galaxy Note II now.

The device was announced during IFA 2012 in Berlin and so far the Galaxy Note II has been received by consumers and the public pretty well. So for those who wants to get the Note II via Sprint, mark your calendars on Oct. 25 and visit Sprint's website on that day.

PHIL: Smart puts the Galaxy Note II on pre-order free at plan 2000

Smart, like Globe, has just announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy Note II. Smart is offering the phablet at a lower commitment price of just plan 2000 and the phablet comes free. Unlike Globe's plan 2499. But of course, everybody have their own choice of carrier and I think 499 won't make much of a difference. Anyway, Smart is yet to let us know when exactly the phablet will become available but for those who wants to be the first to own the Note 2 with the Philippines' Smart network, pre-order here now!

PHIL: Globe Telecom offers Galaxy Note II free with plan 2499

Globe is now offering the most powerful device Samsung has ever made free when you get it tied with plan 2499. As promise the Galaxy Note 2 will officially be available in the Philippines within the month of October. But, assuming that the phablet will be a hit in the country, expect that stocks during the day of the launching will be limited. So for you to get the Galaxy Note 2 with Globe, better pre-order now!

You should be able to see the Galaxy Note II in stores throughout India. There is no word yet about which carrier will be offering the device tied up with a 2-year commitment (so that everything will be much more affordable). IFA 2012: The Samsung Galaxy Note II - Samsung's most powerful device to date and its first Android Jelly Bean device

After all the rumors and leaks, finally the Samsung Galaxy Note II is official. Well, what can I say? I have never really liked the Note (except for the Galaxy Note 10.1). Like the Windows Phone 8 powered ATIV S, the Note II also follows the SGS III deign aesthetics. No word yet on pricing but Samsung is preparing to launch the device starting in October in major markets in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This is an apparent upgrade or the official successor to the Galaxy Note and expect its specs to more beefier. For the record, this is Samsung's most powerful device to date since it sports Sammy's most powerful chipset ever, the Exynos 4412 Quad. To top all the goodies up, this is Samsung's first Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device.
