Dell Venue gets official in the US
Yup, this smartphone right here was already announced in South Korea last year in December and it is said to be launched in Hong Kong first before the other markets can get a taste of this Dell offering. This device is the Dell Venue, remember what I said when the word "Pro" is given to a smartphone? It means that the device has a physical QWERTY keyboard. So this means that the Dell Venue is a smartphone unlike the Venue Pro which has a physical vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard. Also, unlike the Venue Pro this smartphone will be running on Android 2.2 Froyo.
Dell Venue specs:
- Dynamic 4.1-inch AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass
- 8-megapixel camera
- Android 2.2 Froyo
- Dell Stage experience with Stage widgets
- Features a slick curved design and fits easily in your pocket
- Pricing and availability: details in the coming weeks
Update: Dell have not said anything about when the device will be available and price. With regards to it's availability though Dell does not have a network partner yet so they will be selling the handset over at Dell.com unlocked when the device will be launched in the US - Endgadget

Dell Venue pops in Korea and gets official

Dell Venue (Left) Dell Streak (Right) |
Known initially as the Dell Thunder, the Dell Venue which is running on Android 2.2 Froyo is now made official in the same country where the LG Optimus 2X and the Mach was announced. The Dell Venue as the name suggests it to be is the Venue Pro's brother without the vertical sliding QWERTY keyboard and unlike the Venue Pro, this handset, the Dell Venue, runs on Android instead of Windows Phone 7 making it the first Android smartphone (if you want to categorize the Streak as a tablet) from Dell.
