Dell Inspiron Duo priced at $549 and more specs revealed

The Dell Inspiron Duo was revealed with a video teaser a few weeks back and today we have infos of it's price and specs, good. For those who do not know what this Inspiron Duo is, it is Dell's offering to the market that is quite different. It is not your ordinary tablet or your ordinary netbook. As the name suggests it's a hybrid, giving you the best of both worlds.

Dell Inspiron Duo gets official teaser video

Do you like the iPad or the Samsung Galaxy Tab? Then you'll love the Dell Inspiron Mini Duo or simply, the Inspiron Duo. This baby right here gets it's official teaser video which at the end says coming soon. The video also sports a JBL speaker dock, that the tablet/netbook hybrid sits on when "flipped" into it's tablet form. It is said to be released by the end of this year, so keep your fingers crossed for those who are wanting to have one of these hybrids.

Dell Inspiron Duo convertible tablet showed off by Dell Product Marketer in a video

The Dell Inspiron Duo is dubbed as the "world's most powerful Windows 7 10inch tablet running on Windows 7 Premium and an Intel dual-core Atom N550 processor. Dave Zavelson, said that a tablet is a cool and great device but it lacks the power of mobile computing which we can all find in a netbook, hence the revelation of this convertible tablet.



No details about the pricing is revealed or announced yet.

How this ordinary looking Dell Inspiron turns into a tablet

So there it is. The question they left me hanging on my previous post.
Its cool and very amazing, a first time I have seen something like this. A quiet little netbook instantly turns into a tablet. This would be Dell's second tablet after the Dell Streak which was somewhat kind of a not-so-fancy tablet. With a lot of things not good in it. Anyway, I know everyone would love to get their hands on this netbook hybrid.
Its a 10inch netbook/tablet that swivels, the screen that is. It is running on Windows 7 Premium with a dual Core Intel Atom. Now this ain't a final product yet. But I do hope that Dell will make things working perfectly with the Windows 7 OS primed up for tablet functions. We don't want another Toshiba Libretto that didn't quiet work with a Windows 7 OS.

It magically turns into a tablet! Now my source said that the screen has the ability to swivel from the inside. While looking at the pictures, I can't seem to imagine how it transforms from a netbook into a tablet. You tell me how he did it.
