The iPad have made it into Philippine soil, at least officially. Released today by Apple on their online store, the iPad is set to challenge the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which is already selling. We already have the official price listing of the device in the Philippines, and starting from P23,990, this will surely make people turn to this tablet from the Galaxy Tab, but who knows, the Galaxy Tab is still a full featured tablet device.

Apple's Philippine website have started to sell the iPad both the WiFi and the WiFi + 3G variant. Just a point that needs to be said, the Samsung Galaxy Tab is priced at P35,000 and you might say, why is that Samsung device much more expensive than the iPad? Well, if you try to analyze the situation, Samsung is not competing with Apple's 16GB WiFi only iPad variant instead it is competing with the WiFi + 3G variant of the iPad. So there it is. Finally we have a competition in the Philippines on which tablet device will get more sales. Will it be the iPad? or the Galaxy Tab? Running on iOS and on Android 2.2 Froyo, respectively.
