Bad news! LG said, in response to a question posted on their Facebook Page, that the world's first dual-core smartphone is not getting some Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The LG Optimus 2X, when Android ICS was announced, was one of those Androids I thought would get the latest version of the OS, but then LG said it won't. This is bad news, because, everyone knows the device can handle Android 4.0 and it deserves that dessert.
Samsung Italy says Android 4.0 ICS will be coming to the Galaxy S II, Galaxy Note, and the Galaxy Tab
Samsung Italy, according to reports, confirmed that the newest iteration of the Android OS will be coming to their Galaxy devices. Well, not every Galaxy device will be getting it, only some of the Galaxy devices that were launched in 2012 are getting it (at least for now). This is good news, I am sure, since Android 4.O ICS is the best Android ever and the features in it is definitely mouth watering to any current Android user.

The carrier is asking for only $99.99 with a 2-year contract and they will give you the handset. Some and I say a lot of you out there still wants a QWERTY keyboard on your smartphones. LG teased or partly unveiled a concept smartphone that, I believe, is brilliant. The LG Switch is the world's first dual-sided touchscreen smartphone. LG is saying that with this concept or design you will be able to switch to different applications running on your LG Switch by simply flipping the phone from one side to the other. It might sound crazy or out of this world, but if you take a while and absorb it, it actually works. Now, let's see if LG can make this concept smartphone into reality, because if they can, then I should say, LG is pushing the boundaries of technology. The company that announced the world's first dual-core smartphone and the world's first 3D capable smartphone is really pumped up and they are not stopping there. Head over the break for more photos and watch the video introducing the device.
I know you've already heard about HP considering to spin off their PC business after they announced the fate of the TouchPad. Things are not really looking that good for HP but recently, things are a bit brighter. HP announced that they will be producing TouchPads to meet existing demand for the tablet. That, for me, is good news. Also, to spice things up a bit, they just announced that they will not be spinning off their PC business. Head over the break to read the press release.
The Sony PSP Vita was given an official launch date recently. In the US, the portable gaming system will be available starting February 22, 2012. Yesterday in Dubai, RIM and Porsche unveiled the BlackBerry Porsche Design P'9981 smartphone. The BB Porsche Design P9981, as you can see in the photo, carries that industrial and modern look. Its boxy up top and curved at the bottom and that keyboard is like taken from a different planet. The smartphone actually looks very futuristic but what would you expect when Porsche comes in and does a bit of designing jobs in the process? Anyway, the smartphone is, apparently, a luxury device and "will be available from Porsche Design stores later this year."
Yesterday, Samsung launched in Europe the world's largest smartphone, the Galaxy Note. A new color comes to the MeeGo running Nokia N9. The White version of the N9 was announced recently, while the Nokia World 2011 was happening. Nokia explained that it took them time to produce this color for the smartphone because it requires complex manufacturing processes.

And last but not least, of course, is the Nokia Lumia 800. Now, this is the true top-notch Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone from Nokia. Announced as the last product during Nokia World 2011, the Lumia 800 is a Windows Phone Mango smartphone that looks like the Nokia N9. Apparently, this will be Nokia's new flagship smartphone (regardless of the platform) taking that spot from the N9. Of course, I just made that up, but it's obvious ain't it?
Ok, so this is one of the two Windows Phone smartphones that Nokia unveiled during Nokia World 2011 in London earlier. I think Nokia's first line of WP7 devices will be named as the Lumia range and this is one of them, the Nokia Lumia 710 which, runs on Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. This will also be the cheaper of the two WP7 devices that were announced today which is set to be launched first in Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore, and Taiwan before this year ends. As for the pricing, Nokia is giving the 710 an approximate price of €270 before subsidies and taxes.
Nokia World 2011 just finished and the Finnish company unveiled 5 new phones. Three or I should say 4 of them are called the Asha series. These phones are running on the Series 40 platform and don't even get disappointed by the platform because these smarties will pack a punch. You might be wondering why in the title of this post has 4 phones on it and on the photo there are only 3, the Nokia Asha 200 and 201 are just the same phones with the 200 a dual-sim device.
When November 3 comes in New York City, HTC will be announcing something. Base on the invites they sent out, it seems that the Taiwan-based company is going to announce something that will be a Beats powered device. Anyway, there are already rumors on what device HTC will be announcing and most of them are pointing at the HTC Rezound. I say, I'd rather wait for the official announcement.
T-Mobile USA announced recently that they will be launching two 4G tablets namely the T-Mobile Springboard and the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 but when they did announce the devices it came without a launch date. The photo you see above is the Springboard, apparently, it will be available starting Nov. 16. For the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 it will be available starting November 2.

Seems like the HP TouchPad's future ain't all that ill after all. HP has announced that they will be manufacturing a batch of TouchPads in an unknown volume and date. They just think that the demand that still exist for the company's tablet that runs on WebOS 3.0 must be attended. Since they just said that they will be making more and did not provide any more detail about it, we will have to wait if HP will pursue this idea and when they will be selling TouchPads again, and of course for how much? Probably the same price during the tablet's last few days in the market? $99?
Samsung has sent out invites, I think, of their Galaxy Note launching on October 27th in London. The smartphone/tablet was first announced during IFA 2011 in Berlin which sports a huge 5.3" display. This will be device's first world launch and yet again, the Brits get it first. By that time we will be able to know the pricing of the device and maybe which carrier in the UK will be offering it. Mark you calendars.

This will be a very short post regarding Asus, most anticipated tablet that they will be launching soon, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer Prime. We saw the tablet teased to us by Asus and we know that it will be carrying the same aesthetics as the Taiwan-based company's first ultrabook, you know that Zen of it all. The tablet just got a landing page that Asus made. Its just one page telling you what to expect with the new Transformer Prime. Asus already confirmed that the Transformer Prime will be sporting a quad-core processor, probably by nVidia, and I am guessing since they already put up a landing page for the device it will be launched within this year, that is if they don't hit any bumps along the way. You can check out the teaser video of the Transformer Prime here.

Anyway, for those who wants to pre-order head over to Clove UK.
